I’m not gonna lie, I’m not an old school camper!! Just the thought of bugs give me the creeps. I’m a sucker for nature though, so when I coincidentally discovered getawayhouse on Instagram I fell …fell in love…and oh my gosh I fell so hard I just had to visit. It was like a craving…a constant one that kept whispering ‘just book a cabin…book it now!. ’ ( https://getaway.house/austin )

Surprisingly the drive to Dallas went by quickly, however that may be due to the fact that I was in good company. Check-in was pretty easy, although initially it had me in loops. My family will tell you I’m horrible when it comes to keeping tabs on my phone and by that I mean phone calls and messages. So How the heck was I supposed to know that I received a message with the name of our cabin and the code to open the door. Lmbo😂😫
Anyhow I was blown away at how beautiful everything looked, it’s exactly as it looks in the promotional pictures in person. The cabin was thoughtfully prepared and had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay.
I can’t think of anything better than to be surrounded by song birds and dancing trees dressed in a breathtaking green. I’ll have to sound the alarm on this one “No Bugs” …nature was good to me :)
